WARRANTY & RETURNS
A 12-month manufacturers warranty applies to most products unless stated otherwise. Electronic products come with a 3-month warranty. Please refer to the product listing for the warranty period.
To make a warranty claim, you must provide a copy of your tax invoice or other valis proof showing that you purchased the item from us and that the item is within the applicable warranty period. You will need to also describe the problem in detail and provide any evidence to support your claim to assist with the assessment process.
Submit you warranty claim via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow up to 10 days for us to process warranty claims.
Warranty entitles the customer to a repair or replacement as determined by the supplier. No refunds will be issued unless a repair or replacement can not be provided in a timely manner.
This policy is written within the limitations of, and to the requirements of the Australian Consumer Law regarding warranties.
A refund or replacement will not be provided if products are being misused, abused, mishandled or that have been installed or assembled incorrectly.
Warranty will not cover items that have been modified, damaged by fire, damaged by water or damage due to impact.
Warranty also excludes wear and tear and cosmetic damage.
Customers are responsible for following the care, operating and assembly instructions and any advice supplied by the manufacturers.
Faulty or Damaged Upon Arrival
You are required to notify Factory Discounts within 2 working days of receipt of your item in the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, faulty or is missing any parts. In addition to a detailed description, you may be required to provide images (or a short video clip if more appropriate) of the damage in order to proceed with the warranty process.
If the package appears damaged from the outside, please take a clear photo prior to opening your item.
Once assessed and confirmed by our customer service team, you will be contacted with advice on the return or replacement process (as determined by our returns team). Please do not attempt to return the item without our approval.
Change of Mind Purchases
- We do not issue refunds or exchanges for ‘Change Of Mind’ purchases under any circumstances. Please choose your item carefully. Consult the descriptions and specifications prior to purchasing.
- If an order cancellation is requested, it may be possible in certain situations, however it will depend on the status of your order and if it had been dispatched. If a refund is approved the refund will be subject to a non-negotiable 10% admin/processing fee to cover costs involved in the cancellation process.
- If for any reason a return of the product is required, customers will be responsible for all or any return shipping costs (unless we specifically agree to cover the costs on a case-by-case basis)
Cancellation of orders
Factory Discounts reserve the right to cancel any order and issue a full refund for reasons attributed to customers providing false details or orders that have been flagged with a high risk of fraud. We also reserve the right to cancel any orders if advised to by any of our payment partners.
Order cancellations can also occur if there are any issues with stock availability, undeliverable postcodes, product listing errors (including product descriptions, images and incorrect pricing) or for any other reason as required within the Australian consumer laws.
